Play Along: a backing band built from the song's chord chart
From practice room to spotlight

Everything a song needs before you walk on.

Learn it by heart

Type the first letter of every word. Two runs per session, and the lines you miss come back.

Practice: type the first letter of every word

Scrolls with your voice

On stage, Smart Scroll listens and keeps the line you're singing in view, hands-free.

A band from your chords

Piano, guitar, bass and drums, timed to the song. Fix a chord once and every chorus follows.

Practice that sticks.

Train your memory with active recall: you type the first letter of every word and the app grades the line against the song. Every session runs the song twice, once with the first word of each line standing, then cold. Lines you miss come back at the end of the run, behind the line that cues them.

  • Mastery for every section, line by line
  • Graduate a song when you get through it with no mistakes
Between runs: every mistake cleared, and a map of what run 2 will ask
Graduated: the song is ready for the stage

Your whole set on one screen.

Lyrics with chords, backing track playback, video, a metronome you can see or hear, and four display modes from full lyrics down to section headers. Smart Scroll follows your voice so your hands stay on the guitar.

Backing tracks from chords Beta

No backing track for a song? Make one from its chord chart. The chords are timed to the lyrics, and you choose the band: piano, guitar, pads, bass and drums. If a chord comes in wrong, tap it to fix it, and every chorus written the same way follows. Works in 4/4, 3/4 and 6/8, in any key.

Record your best take.

Sing over your backing track and hear yourself the way the audience will: voice, music, reverb and compression, set before or after the take. Keep the best one and share it.

Why Stage Proof

Learn the song. Then play it.

Not a teleprompter

Teleprompter apps let you read. Stage Proof makes you learn: active recall means the lyrics live in your head, not on a screen. And when you want the screen, it scrolls with you.

Not a lyrics database

Lyrics and chord websites are for looking things up. Stage Proof is for memorizing and performing your repertoire under pressure.

Not your Notes app

Stage Proof tracks what you know, what you don't and what needs work, with readiness ratings and structured practice.
